SHEESH!

Here is a photo of a 58 MERC 430 engine mounting pad (Thanks Chris!);



This is from Theo's album on this site of a 60 LINC (The mounting pad appears to be different);



This is a photo of a 62 LINC bellhousing. You may be able to get an idea of a later mounting pattern (if there is actually a difference);



Print these out and send them to the guy with the later 430 and if the mount pads are the same, I would say you are OK.
