Early MEL Camshafts

Response to Here is my best guess -

 

There was more than one camshaft used on the 58 as MEL had engineering troubles. The first issued was replaced by the 383 MERC (Lo Torque and Hi Torque used the same cam) as lift was too high with resultant spring bind. The CR was later dropped with a higher deck block.

If you can't plot what you have with a degree wheel and micrometer, most cam companies can plot it for you. Best option is to send it to OREGON CAMS for upgrading.

The SUPER MARAUDER option used the same camshaft (later).

On a previous post here, I gave the cam events.
