My original post is wrong. The store gave me a set of part# 432-hy which are taller by about a 1/4"

I have it figured out. On the paper sheet included in the box with the lifters Isky lists part #432-hy for the Lincoln 430, 462 motors but not any of the FE series Ford motors. The 392-hy is listed for FE motors. The web site shows the part #'s correctly also. I matched it up and the 392-hy is the correct size lifter but they only had 8 and not a set. They are going to see if they can get me a set tomorrow. So the part # that Isky has is wrong for the MEL series. Ahhh the bad luck I have had with this motor is unbelievable!!!
