| Hi Guys! The carb on my 462 (in my 67 Lincoln) has given up the ghost... I rebuilt it a while ago for a choke issue (along with a problematic accel pump) but the accel pump just not working.. and it's making for some less than fun times. So.. I was looking for a decent replacement (Holley or Edelbrock) that would get me back on the road. It looks like a Holley 4160 or a Edebrock Performer 600 (Model 1406) are the two popular replacements (based on infor from the lincoln forum) but all the chatter looks to be from swaps on 460s.. not 462s, and as little as I know about these engines, I do know the 460 is not an MEL.
Am I totally off on my carb possibilities? Do I need any sort of adaptor? (squarebore vs. spreadbore??) Would I still use the PCV plate (as under the carb) or would that come off and the PCV plug into the carb?
Sorry I have so many questions, I just don't want to do anything well.. wrong!
Thank you very much for any advice you can provide.
