My son and I have been restoring a 63 lincoln for the last year or so. This is his first car and he is the envy of all his school friends since we painted the body and re-did the front seat. However, the 430 is a maintenance nightmare. It got to the point that his football coach asked him to park somewhere other than in front of the fieldhouse due to it bleeding fluids all over the parking lot.
My question is, has anyone ever removed the 430 and replaced it with a engine that is a little easier to find parts for? This is his daily driver.
We have pulled the 430 and are waiting on any info before we start looking for an engine.
