I was hoping more production photos with the original cast kind of thing...I think you can tour moon's factory in CA anyways.MrBurnedRubber wrote:I asked this earlier, An he said he would provide pictures when polished.
I think You ( and all the others that have "ordered" ) will have a personal mail from moon with a picture, when polished.
I will also post a picture on here soon as I have one.
Best regards
Trond

Re: MEL Moon Polished finned Valvecovers
Here is an update from Moon as pr Yesterday.
"Casting foundry is behind schedule, but hoping to have them later this week. As soon as we have photo available, we’ll e-mail you. "
Maybe behind schedule since they are doing 30, and not 10 as the original schedule were based on.
Soon as a picture is available, it will be posted here.
Since we all have been waiting for years, I hope some extra days or a week, will not make a big difference for You all.
Best regards

Thanks for the update! Not like the cars are going anywhere soon if you live in the NE U.S. Snow will still be melting in July!

Re: MEL Moon Polished finned Valvecovers
Waiting for Your valve covers ?
Here is the last update , smoking fresh:
"They've been cast and in heat treat.
we should have them in our hand later this week and we'll start machining and polish.
I'm hoping to start shipping them out next week.
we have 28prs on order now."
This means that there are 2 pairs left, so for those sitting on the fence, You still have a tiny chance to get a pair.
Also, remember that Moon will be able to supply valve cover gaskets, for some US$16.50 extra.
Best regards
Trond

Re: MEL Moon Polished finned Valvecovers
Someone bought a set last night and they told him that was the 2nd to last pair available. There is either 2 or 1 set left as of yesterday evening. SO HURRY!

Re: MEL Moon Polished finned Valvecovers
Someone posted the photos of them, they look nice! They are taller and wider than the original valve covers too. I hope he gets to making the Lincoln 'Star' or and 'L' for Lincoln like he planned.Treinarts wrote:Slover has some, and these look like the older finned Marauder covers. TJR

Re: MEL Moon Polished finned Valvecovers
I got an update from Moon today. Sounds like they are behind the original shedule, but here is what they said Friday morning:
*************************************************************************************
"We are expecting them to be delivered from foundry today.
we still have to machine them and polish, so most likely later next week or following week when we can start shipping htem.
I'll send every body on list e-mail letting them know next week."
