1958 Lincoln Continental chassis number stamp location

Post by novetti » Sun 20. Jan 2019, 20:36

Gentleman,

I haven't seen any traces for number stamping at the top of the frame in the right side (near the exhaust manifold area).

I guess this applied to chassis/body cars only (my 1958 Ford Fairlane) has its stamp in that exact location as per the photo below:

Does anyone here have a Lincoln from that era (58' to 60') who would be able to confirm or not that no stamping is located in that region?

Cheers

Jules

Look what I found at the top edge of the trunk rear jamb...

Was very surprised to see that stamp there.
