And right about here is when I found out the shop I was working at and storing my car at was closing halloween... so now to try to find a spot to park the car... the mother in law's garage, of course.. :oops:

me, my lady, & her mother spent a month cleaning her garage. now, finally, the Edsel has a new home

here's the edsel with my lincoln daily driver next to it. my lady has a classic seville that she wasn't ready to park for the winter yet, so my lincoln was parked in the mean time

November 16th. a friend was getting married today, and to everyone's suprise it was sunny & 70 so we took the edsel out for one more cruise this year.

that's going 70 with the engine fully warm with straight 50 weight oil in the crankcase, dig the oil pressure :o engine building will be coming shortly, with pics ;)

Which brings us to this past weekend, not a lot of progress but if you only knew what it took to get the engine to this point. it was absolutely insane. started on my old shops pallet racking, then involved a pickup, a trailer, a shop, a backyard, one of the most rickety tow trucks ever, a plastic pallet which was destroyed in the process, a borrowed engine stand and about 100 miles total driving not counting going to wisconsin and getting the engine which can be seen on page 2.

sorry I haven't posted, however I've been busy. got the engine all apart, cleaned, painted & am assembling this week. I'll post pics when I get home tonight of what I've been up to. 8-)

Nice photo diary of a cool car. Love that colour scheme!

How bad is the rust on the rocker panels? Are there more crispy bits anywhere on the car?

Thanks guys, I know it's been a long time since I posted, still got the car, I've been delayed slightly buy my purchase of a "new" house which was built in '36 that's been occupying my time, however I've got some updates to share with all of you.
