I was told that a vendor maybe named Lincoln Classics has reproduced and is selling new steel coolant diverts. I need a contact phone # for them - or who ever else is selling them for the 430 cid cars. What kind of prices are these parts running now? These are the pieces that go behind each "ear" of the waterpump and force the coolant up and into the cylinder heads for circulation. Mine have corroded away and are long gone now...Thanks in advance for any and all help in this matter, this has been the BEST source of info already on my 1960 430 cid T-bird yet!!

61-68 Solid Brass Engine Block Water Diverter Set

(These press into the front of the block behind the water pump and divert the cooling water up into the heads. When your diverters disintegrate, the heads starve for coolant and overheat. Measure the diameter of the hole, as they can be either 1 1/2 or 1 5/8 inches.)

Call and see if they will also fit a 58/60. The 59/60 TBIRD engine is actually a 1959 LINC engine. Let us know what they say please.

On Page 2 of this forum, you will find a discussion of the thermostats and diverters.
