Hello!

Feel free to introduce yourself. No obligation off course, but a nice way to get known to you a little. It's allways good to know your first name. Jeff or John sounds better than, "hey linc58prm2_1......"

Hello!

Post by lincoln623 » Mon 2. May 2011, 06:36

Hi, I am new to the 430 forum, but have been working with the MEL engine since it was introduced. My dad had a 1958 Mercury Monterey with a 312HP 383. Used to drag it whenever he would let me drive it. Beat a few 300HP 390 Galaxies, 300HP 327 Chevys for top end. It would do 100MPH in secand!!
I currently have a 1960 T-Bird. It had a 352, Shot, so I found a 1959 T-Bird 430 to rebuil and put in the T-Bird. Made my own mounts, running short mufflers with lakes pipes. It is a lot of fun to drive, plenty of torque. I had a 1958 T-Bird when I was in the Air Force in 1965,it had the 352. This 430 is MUCH faster. Thanks for letting me join, Henry.

Hello Henry and welcome to the forum. A 430 in a T-Bird is a nice combination. Definitely helps propelling it in town and anywhere. Please feel free to post photos if you wish. Everybody here is drooling for new car pics on the block.
Don't worry if the forum seems deserted. It's not,. It's just a small crowd and a little slow sometimes.
Have fun and thanx for joining.
Best regards
