My MEL Lincoln

Feel free to introduce yourself. No obligation off course, but a nice way to get known to you a little. It's allways good to know your first name. Jeff or John sounds better than, "hey linc58prm2_1......"

My MEL Lincoln

Post by buddy67lincoln » Tue 23. Dec 2008, 10:21

1967 Continental coupe with the factory: 462c.i., 340hp/485 lb.-ft. It might end up with a lot more power when I am done with it and it should all fit under the hood! Maybe around 440 bhp and 526 lb.-ft.! We will see. It will have an Isky RR2 roller cam, tri power, 3.50 rear end gears from a 9" center (should pop right into the factory 9-3/8" housing), 2,000 stall converter, shift kit and some other mods. I will fix the oiling problem and any other issues these engines had, balanced, blue printed, and that's it. This is my Lincoln in the white paint, the aqua car is my 30,000 mile parts car with the intake mocked up, and it all fits under the hood. I hope it all works out and if I am lucky by next summer (yeah right) I will have some videos of her at the track and WerbyFord has estimated on his gonkulator that I can hit 14s! That would raise some ears. Then I have 2 extra 462's in the garage I can maybe put into this old 30's pickup down the road if he will sell it! I think its an International pickup but I wanted the frame and cab, thats all thats there really. We will see!

By the way its really hard to get photos to work on here. I had to make them extremely small to be able to post them. Hope you can see them; not too much detail when they are this small.
