New 462 Owner in AZ

Feel free to introduce yourself. No obligation off course, but a nice way to get known to you a little. It's allways good to know your first name. Jeff or John sounds better than, "hey linc58prm2_1......"

New 462 Owner in AZ

Post by OnTheBottle » Sat 18. Sep 2010, 10:32

I just picked up a 1968 Lincoln Continental. It has the 462. The motor runs fine for now, but a rebuild is in the future. I'd like to be able to upgrade the Cam and intake slightly, as well as dress up the engine with a little Chrome for cruise nights.

I'm a former exclusively GM guy. So as it stands now, I'm just learning about FE motors, because I'm restoring a 67 Mercury Parklane Breezeway, Q code 428 car. And now because of the Lincoln, MEL's. I've heard about adapters for Chevy BB Valve covers, and BBF intakes, but no info on where to get them.

Welcome "OnTheBottle". I can probably tell you more about FE engines than about MEL stuff, ;) There's a lot of previous discussion about aftermarket products etc. Just read through those various sections. Hope s.o. else can chime in.
Best regards
