just found this forum. I have a 1960 T-Bird, had a 352 in it, I am installing a 430 from a 1959 T-Bird. I rebuilt it with new rings, timiong set. everything else was good, so I used it including the bearings. I had to weld motor mount brackets to the frame for the engine. Looks really good in the Bird. I used the 352 Cruiematic after I rebuilt it. It had the bronze clutches that looked like new. Car had 83,000 miles on it. needs complete restoration.I have been a Ford mechanis for 50 years, we used to race a 58 Merc wiht a 383 and later a 430 in it in a 1/2 mile dirt track. used an Isky EE-500 cam. 7,000 Rpm!!!also had a 57 ford custon 2-door with a 312 HP 383 Merc, T-85 3-speed. good ol'days!

Hi lincoln62, sounds like an interesting project you have. The good thing about the 59-60 bird is that it has more space for headers.
Curious to watch your project proceeding.
