5. 1959 Edsel Convertible 361 cu in.

Hey Rick, welcome to the forum. You got a nice collection. Love the convertibles.
In this forum we have a bunch of gentlemen like you who give a lot of effort and expense to preserve and maintain those cultural assets. I salute you. Classic auto parts should be tax free and legaly set off against tax liability IMO.
I'd be pleased to see a few pics of your restoration progression once in a while.

Wow, that looks like a fun place to work at. Is this your garage?. Are you doing all this as a hobby or are you a professional?

No, I'm not doing this one myself. In the past I did almost all of the work. The last car I did was in the '90's. It was a 1961 Falcon. Since I got married, and have 4 kids, the wife wont let me do something of this magnitude anymore. I just do little repairs and tune ups on the cars nowadays.

I'll repost for you. I noticed the section on the engine photo's. When it's done I'll post those photo's there!

Welcome Rick. That's a cool collection. I especially like the Wagon - that must be an oddball car at the local shows. From the photos there's no indication it needed a frame up restoration. Did have hidden rust issues?

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL COLLECTION!

I love those MERC HDTP WAGONS...

Here are some shots of a restored 59 MERC CONV. I think the restorer was near Gettysburg, PA and posted these on the old forum-

Thank you. The wagon has not seen a show yet. I also own a 1959 Country Squire that is all original, and in excellent condition that I take to shows.
The only rust issues were under the battery (bad), and some spots on the tailgate, and rear wheel well areas (very light).
