Hello,
My name is Paxton, I live in Montana. I admire MEL engines - their design, aesthetics and potential. This forum has been the only place to find reputable information. I am excited to be a part of the forum.
I have many rat holed MEL parts. One complete '58 Merc 383 that came with FE bell and flywheel and a newly acquired MEL I believe to be a '59 430. I purchased the "430" as an old rebuild that never fired - complete with chrome valve covers, chrome pulleys and a chrome breather / oil fill. Under the valve covers I found adjustable pushrods, so I'm betting on a reground cam, but I have not tore into 'er that far yet.
I will post some pics if the 430 beauty in the engine discussion forum.
