i'm john olsen, been a mel fan ever since i read about the new 58 car motors in some mag + my brother had a 54 ford with a 55 341 linc - lil abe - which being a youth always impressed me as being "fast" it sure could burn rubber. anyhow 50 yrs later i,ve built lil abe 2 a 55 ford club sedan gasser with straight axle and a 58 merc 430 set back about 7 inches. have 2 motors right now using 9.5 pistons reground solid lifter cam to 427 ford specs 58 super maurader intake with 400 cfm center and 2 500 ends tri y headers manual C-4 and 4:11 locker rear still in break in period have not wailed on it yet but it feels pretty good will try to post pict later
