I just got a 66 Lincoln 4 door with the 462 from my father's cousin that they drove out to Reno some 25 odd years ago to pick up together. It was driven only in the summers for about 10 years, but my dad's cousin had so many oldies he never piled the miles on any one of them. Since he stopped driving it about 10-15 years ago it was stored in a machine shed with all of his other toys and only started a couple times a year.
We hauled it to our shop flushed the gas tank and radiator, blew out the fuel lines and a battery later we had it running. Then 5 minutes into it we lost a frost plug, but that was minor fix (the hardest part was cleaning up all the antifreeze). The car started out as baby blue but was painted white before it came into our family. I cleaned all the mice nests out of the engine compartment and now we have a small fuel problem with us not getting the tank as clean as possible. Hopefully a fuel filter later and I will be back to cruisin around "Ghetto Fabulously!"
This car was purchased at the same time I got his old 67 Triumph GT6 to add to my 63 Fairlane 500 and a 91 Mercury Capri convertible, all unfinished projects that I drive a different one everyday.
Hiya all
