HELP! Need help finding parts

Feel free to introduce yourself. No obligation off course, but a nice way to get known to you a little. It's allways good to know your first name. Jeff or John sounds better than, "hey linc58prm2_1......"

HELP! Need help finding parts

Post by 1959COMMUTER » Thu 15. Jul 2010, 11:08

I am a new member to the MEL forum and a proud owner of a couple classic Mercurys. I recently bought a 1959 Commuter Wagon from the original owner. It is one of the best looking wagons I have ever seen , but I am having trouble finding parts for the 383 engine. When I bought the car it was missing the fuel pump and fuel pump pushrod. I was able to buy a fuel pump , but I can not find anyone who has a pushrod. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am dying to drive this wagon. Thanks , Chris . Feel free to call me if you can help 215-852-8869

I called EGGE and they said they have pushrods , but not fuel pump pushrods. Does anyone know the dimensions? I could have one made. Is it the same as a specific Edsel or Lincoln part?
