Any word on aluminnum valve covers yet?
Slover is still dealing with foundry and I haven't heard of any other source.
Anybody? TJR

I thought someone had come up with a set of adaptors that would allow one to use the BBC pattern, not exactly my choice but at least it gives one some choice.
Here is a SUPER MARAUDER install in a LINC with decorated origional MOON covers-

From all the literature I've read, the Lincoln set up was only offered by the dealer, and the valve covers were not offered in that kit. So I would presume that the valve covers for that car were purchased separately from a Marauder.

The covers shown are not OEM, they are MOON covers (similiar to CAL CUSTOM).
The LINC came through with BRITE ROCKER COVERS.

O.K. that clears it up for me. Are there any photo's available of the O.E.M. covers?
All the best...

Slover says he will have aluminum valve covers by the end of the month. Castings are done, machine work is in process.
The valve cover adaptors I bought hit the throttle linkage boss on my tri power manifold. Didn't want to grind that manifold.
I will view/purchase the valve covers on the 29th.
Slover is porting and installing oversized valves in my 58 heads.
I also bought a set of intake adaptors to use a 460 intake manifold. The mock up loked good. I will need to do some triming on the intake when I put this engine together.
I will try to get some pictures posted next month. TJR

How are the differences in the engine coolant flow (430 and 460) handled with the adaptors?
What type 460 intake are they designed to accept?
Refer to this thread to see how the MEL cooling system is designed to work-

Passages are aligned through the adaptor. Surprizeingly close. Stock gaskets can be used.
I have the nozzels that direct coolant upward to the heads. Also, the heads in the picture have been threaded for 1/2 pipe fitting. I can run a water pump line right to them and have the coolant flow towards the back of the heads.
Valve covers looked good. They have M on them and are taller than stock and have moved the outer edge of the cover so that the bolts go through the edges of the top of the cover. No pictures yet. Not quite done. Still semi-finished. Need de burring, flashings polished. Be about 300.00 a set. TJR
