430 MEL ignition wires and spark plugs

Post by Kritter » Mon 29. May 2017, 14:24

I need to replace the spark plug wires and the spark plugs on my 1962 MEL engine. I'm hoping to find the answers to the following questions:

1. What spark plug 'range' should I be looking for?
2. Is there a part number for a set of 8mm spark plug wires
3. is there a part number for the correct spark plugs

Thanks in advance
~K

To answer my own questions:
The original spark plugs used were Champion F-11-Y which were 18mm plugs gapped at 0.032-0.036". They are a 'hot' type.
Here's the cross reference list for Champion F11Y plugs

The part number for replacement spark plug wires is NGK 52432 (or NGK RC-FDX014) but they are 7mm wires.
