Carb Linkage / need help

Post by Brad Seabourne » Tue 19. Apr 2011, 10:38

Does anyone have a link that shows the carb linkage set up for a 1964 lincoln with a 430 four barrel. I put mine back in, after I rebuilt the engine and now when I give it gas, I have to push the pedal down almost three inches before it will engage the throtle cable. I dont remember it being like that when I took the car apart last year. if anyone knows what I did wrong or has some close up pics they can send me, I would appriciate it. thanks. my email is bseabourne@f-hconst.com

I have a 64 4 barrel setup (but with Holley carb) on my 62 Continental.

The throttle action is very positive so something is definitely wrong with your setup.

Here are some photos of the mechanism in case you can get anything useful from them.
