Fill me in on the differences between valley pans. What type of modification has to be made to an older block to use PCV?

I'm not sure, there's another topic that's working on creating a new valley pan for just this need, however I'm not sure if it's going to get off the ground. but this winter I'll be finding the answer to your question, possibly modifying mine to fit this need. I'll keep you posted as I go.

It's probably not factory on the cars, but my boat has a vac-u-pan setup that you can get from jegs. It does the same thing as a pcv.

Basically, the rear road draft vent at the rear of the lifter valley (58-60) has to be removed and replaced with an expansion plug. You then use a 1961/ valley pan.
