Correct 1960 Thunderbird 430 Engine Options?

Post by Chris430 » Thu 4. May 2017, 21:08

I found 4 barrel and 3 Duce's. Are both options correct? Was the 1960 4 barrel a B9ME?
Thanks

The Mecum car is not a 430.. Somebody put a later FE in it with 61-63 valve covers and the M code tri-power

Thanks Royce. I pulled that link down. A second look it was plain to see the FE. I read about 1960 3 Duec Thunderbirds but couldn't find any pictures. Is that a myth?

Technically yes, there could have been 430 tripower Thunderbirds.. Buy like a unicorn I have never seen one.. The air cleaner would have been plain with none of the script that appeared on the Mercs.. Lincolns could get the tripower as well, and I have seen a few of those.
