430 2 barrel swap to 4 barrel intake...any issues?

Post by buddy67lincoln » Thu 24. Mar 2016, 10:56

Basically I have a client who wants to put fuel injection on his 61 so we wanted a 4 barrel intake since the kits are more popular with 4 barrel. Will we have any issues swapping 1-a 430 4 barrel intake on his engine, 2-can we use a 462 intake as well. Both being on his existing stock heads. OR do we have to swap heads to have either of the 4 barrel intakes? Not needing more performance; just more reliability with the fuel injected 4 barrel. Thanks a lot.

I have a 59 EDE 4v for measurements if that helps.

Thank you Chris. I think we are ok; decided to just swap intakes not heads. should still work since we are not looking for performance really. I have some 60 Lincoln heads I can measure from if he decides to go with heads! Thanks again for the reply!
