to tell the the thruth either would i i was just kinda kidding. im almost done with my car ill let you know how the 300 dollor cast pistons run on the track i have 3 1960 lincolns minus the engines one is a convertable someone broke in half if anyone needs any parts just payme for shipping they are gonna go to the crusher soon you do come across free 60 lincoln parts often so here is a chance before they end crushed

Ha..Sounds good. So you say that I can use a noisy timing gear from a 460 if I grind off the nipple on the one side and grind down the inside of the timing cover?

I just tried to mock up the 460 noisy timing gear to my 430 and it wasn't even close. Next time you say something will work you need to prove it with pics. Nasty55ford you owe me $60.

i havent had a chance i have been working if you cant figure out how it works in there take to a machine shop if not theo has my info ill give you your 60 plus ship then send it to me i will use it for another one i havent had a chance to take off the front cover to take pics yet if you are satified like i said contact theo ill trade you mine for yours i have switched to blown gas that stuff is getting pricey i have been working alot to pay for all my goodies i bought for my mel i appolegize if that didnt work or its wrong but mines fine thank you cal

I apologize for being a little rude. The $60 is not really the issue. I just really wanted to use the gear instead of a chain and you had me thinking it would work. As far as taking it to a machine shop, there is nothing they can do about the gears not being the right size. When I mocked it up, the middle gear wasn't even close to fitting. There was no room in between.

just hang tight in a couple of days when i get time i will take it apart hopfully without damaging my gaskets ill show you when i orderd it i told the guy what i was building said he check and see what would work called me back said 429-460 385 block it came in the mail and it went right on except i had to grind down the nipples on center gears maybe i was wrong i will get this wright for you thank you
