Not Given In Spec Sheet...
But you need the size from 58/59 as they were the only performance years. 1960 saw economy engines.
Someone needs to measure a few different sets. Will valve size help?

On a set of 64 heads I have, the intakes are aprox 1.25x2.7, and exhaust are 1.25x1.9. The valves were 1.94 and about 1.6. Small chamber in head around valves aprox 28cc.

Thank you, AmaranthArchon, for the info. Those are pretty healthy size ports, maybe the 4 bbl heads have the same size ports even though they have larger valves.

I have a pair of 62 heads and 2 pair of 462 heads and all three don't have a combustion chamber. Are the heads with combustion chambers the low compression export motors? I do know that the 62 2bbl intake manifold has narrower runners than the '63-up 4bbl. When it get light out, I'll go measure the ports on the 62 heads and the 1 pair of 462 heads. The other 462 heads are at the machine shop.

It is possible that I have some of the export heads, with the extra CC's in the heads that would put compression at about 7.5-8:1. I believe that's what it was for the exports.

just got my 462 heads back from the machine shop. They are c6ve with egr (cali car)the ports are: 2.262 x 1.231 intake 1.869 x 1.195 exhaust
valves: intake 2.026 exhaust 1.651
spring height 1.70 dia. outside 1.444 spring wire thickness .193 so .193 x 2 = .386 subtracted from 1.444 = 1.058 is the inside spring diameter

Thanks, Danny for the measurements, and for the info about the latter 4bbl ports being wider than the early 2bbl. If I remember correctly, FE intake ports are 1.34 wide for most heads. Odd FE ports wider than MEL, when FE has 4.63 bore spacing, MEL has 4.90 bore spacing. Danny, in your best guess, how wide could MEL intake and exhaust ports be made - 1.3 - 1.35 - 1.4 - 1.45 - 1.5 - with custom cast heads and manifolds ?
