He all, Im new to the forum and had a few questions. Was given a 462 with good compression and turns over. Haven' ripped inta it but starting to think that it is not the right choice for the rat rod project i am planing. Thinking bout what the hell to do to it. I hear parts r hard to come by and their is only one or 2 drive trains that bolt up, and not much performance parts... True/false??.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. It depends on your car. If it originally came w. a MEL. then keeping the engine would be attractive. If you want to propel any sort of race car the cheap way the DART world might be what you'rte looking for.
A MEL is a very powerful torquemonster but as you say it's not a Che##y so parts are not cheap. I suggest to read your way through this forum's posts and get an impression of what's up with those MELs.

I just found out that my block has a crack. I have found three or four places that may have a block for me but I would like to know more about what you have. Where you are located? I am located in Maryland.
