Hello, does anyone know if there is a tri-power setup that will work on a ’63 MEL 430. If you have heard of one can bolting one up to a stock rebuilt engine increase performance and how?
Still trying to figure out how to boost my horsepower?

WOW!! Will bolting up this intake to an otherwise stock '63 mel yeild significant performance?

Yes It Will.....but It will not allow the hood to shut on a slab-side. This guy had to add a scoop, although it is not gaudy (in my opinion). There is very little space under the hood on the 61/ LINC. They actually lowered the carb pad from the 58/60 LINC. So it would be difficult to retro-fit an earlier 4V manifold also.
The most signicant increase in HP you would see right now is the addition of electronic ignition and having the distributor recurved, along with a little carburetor work.

Is this soemthing I can do myself? I'm in Los Angeles. If I need a qualified Pro where do you suggest I go? What exactly am I trying to do? Can you give me manufacturers and part numbers?
