Gold anodizing or spray paint, I'm still impressed. Is the engine bay going to be restored too?

The gold is a perfect match to a brand new Holley.

not to hijack your thread, but what precautions need to be taken before spray painting a carb? I was always too nervous about painting the venturis and all for fear of clogging something or the paint not adhearing and getting sucked into the engine.

I thoroughly cleaned the outer surface using a Dremel with a tiny wire brush. and masked off the innards....
Looking in the throat of the carbs again cleaned real good with a Dremel and a small piece of scotch-brite pad....plug the vent tubes with tooth picks and lightly primed and colored just what you can see...
I did not do the underside.....
I have many more pictures to post ..... hopefully soon....
Thanks
Anthony

Very nice work. Did you work on the linkages yet? I hope I can figure it out: running off the center carb then WOT will be all 3 glorious carbs at work! I do have some help but photos of successful linkages would be great. Thanks for posting the resto!

John ,
The carbs work off of vacuum. The only time they open manually is at full throttle. Actually they only open ....not even an eight on an inch ..... the velocity of the air will tip them open as needed. Its designed to work that way.

When I did my tripower the center carb doesn't open the secondaries even at wot, only the vacuum. Mechanical opening could cause a stumble. The front to rear carb link should only be to syncronize the front and rear carbs as well as mechanical lift foot shutdown.

IMO

Nice resto!
