Re: Multi Carb manifolds
Here's some pics of some of the aftermarket speed equipment that was originally available for the MEL. These come from the 1960 Almquist speed equipment catalog I just got. The catalog is 115 pages and these are all I could find !! Also note that the 8x2 Weiand Drag Star log intake is only offered ...

Re: 1965 Lincoln 430 MEL To 1965 F-250
Dropped the Lincoln 430 in place of the Ford 352 FE. At this point it is a bolt up using factory parts. The 63/64 engine mounts made the MEL look like a factory install. The mounts were RockAuto clearance items. I had to set the mount to the engine with the passenger engine perch loose after the eng...

1965 Lincoln 430 MEL To 1965 F-250
Finally starting to piece this thing together a little at a time. Cranked and ran the 430 about 2 minutes at a time. No signs of it hammering the best I could hear over the open exhaust. 20190729_221155.jpg Swapped in the 63/64 Galaxie FE engine mounts and broke the Cruise-O-Matic loose. 20190803_08...

I spoke with a machinist who said that EDF was what he recorded from a recent 383 build.

Re: Lincoln 430 Factory Pistons
If the parts I have will help I'll post. The running (allegedly) 65 430 is going in for mockup. If all is good I will run it while I do what appears to be a rehone and bearing swap on another 65 430. We pulled the heads on the 59 430 and closed it back up when we found water damage. Setting it aside...

Re: Lincoln 430 Factory Pistons
No problem. I am currently working on adapting a 65 MEL to a FE/FT bellhousing. If you have a 58-60 block you will have the FE bellhousing. (See pictures below) If your block is a 1958 it will NOT have the middle side engine mount bosses. 59-68 have these engine mount bosses. 1961-68 blocks have the...

Re: Lincoln 430 Factory Pistons
Anybody have pictures of stock piston tops for this engine? Was told there are two pistons used. Wikipedia lists three compression ratios. When I mentioned that I was told that is so but there are still only two pistons that were used. Thanks Bob If you have a 1963, 1964 or 1965 430 your original h...

Hello Bob,
Do you have a factory MEL car? If not that will make three of us I know of. Mine is slowly going into a pickup truck.
