Re: 430 internal oil tubes

If it is the lines that go to the vacuum pump mounted to the oil pump, then it is a vacuum line. I am not going to use the fittings off my 60. If your in the US you can have mine.

Re: PBB-7003-F Questions

Looks like the gear selector is the same throw as the COM. I didn't find any comments to my strength comparisson question vs a C6 but I didn't find anything negative about the Twin Range either. Doesn't look like a bad transmission. Thanks for your help.

Re: PBB-7003-F Questions

There is no comparison to a C 6. This is a different unit all together. BTW ... The PBB is the large case unit. and has two pumps front and rear, This allows the car to be push started. I remember those in old GMs also. Is there an aftermarket valve body for the LX that allows a first gear take off...

Anyone Weld The Right Lower Half Of A FE To A 65 430?

I have a Fenruary 1st 1965 430 and a donor Fenruary 22nd 1965 Cleveland casting 352 FE. The 430 was a running engine traded for a 460 and the 352 is freeze cracked. I am thinking sense four bolts and both dowls won't be compromised that it would be fairly inexpensive but very time consuming. At this...

Re: Stroked 430 in 1939 Ford Coupe

My 65 F100 has a black spot of cooked paint on the underside and now rust up top from a leaking spread spread bore Motorcraft carb. Look forward to seeing your MEL run.

Re: Big Block, Small Block, What ist correct for a MEL 462!

ther is always the discussion if a MEL is a Biugblock or small Block. Ford did not answer this question in discriptions. Is ther a short answer? The MEL has 2" in length, wider and taller than the big block FE. Today I dollied a 352, minus rods and pistons, including the crank and main caps. I also...

We have blocked off the two center carbs, no progressive linkage on this one, the carbs are the "new" Stromberg 97 that flow around 180 cfm from speedway.
That makes sense. Is it very streetable? If he goes this route it will be in a 1959 Ranchero with a 4 speed manual.
