If your 430 is able to mount to a Ford C6 then any FE bell housing will fit. If it is the 66-68 Lincoln C6 you have a 462. An FE will bolt up to the transmission but I don't know if your 59 Mercury engine mounts are like a 59 Lincoln or like a 59 FE. For reference here is a 65 430 mounted in place of a 1966 F100 352 FE. A little more progress. Here is a good look at the back of the block with an FE and FT starter alignment / spacer plate.
