Technically yes, there could have been 430 tripower Thunderbirds.. Buy like a unicorn I have never seen one.. The air cleaner would have been plain with none of the script that appeared on the Mercs.. Lincolns could get the tripower as well, and I have seen a few of those.

The Mecum car is not a 430.. Somebody put a later FE in it with 61-63 valve covers and the M code tri-power

If you are talking about what I think you are, those are not oil lines behind the core plugs they are support rods that help hold the casting mold together, They really have no function at this point. Most engines have them

I just finished assembling and testing another big inch MEL for Mr Stan Palma in Indianapolis .. He is putting it in a 57 Thunderbird street/strip car with a toploader.. It is a 4.42 bore with a 4.18 stroke, Isky old school solid roller cam. Heads ported by Slover. 460 Tunnel ram intake with Slover ...

Cam was ground by Jones Cams in North Carolina on a blank that I found years ago. It is hydraulic and a 244/244@ .050 and .500 lift.
