A few more pictures and measurements of a Lincoln 430 MEL, FT bell housing and Clark 250V in a 66 F-100 long wheel base chassis. Re: 1965 Lincoln 430 MEL To 1965 F-250

A little more progress. Here is a good look at the back of the block with an FE and FT starter alignment / spacer plate. Notice how the FT bell housing kicks the starter out at the bottom to clear the larger flywheel. IMG_20190819_181448.jpg IMG_20190819_181056.jpg IMG_20190819_181128.jpg IMG_201908...

Re: 1960 2 barrel intake wanted

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. Do you mean I can find them on this forum right now, or maybe somewhere in de future on eBay or so? I just bought the original 2 barrel carb, so only the manifold is missing now to get my car 100% original. I have been able to dig up old post and buy various pieces....

Re: 1960 2 barrel intake wanted

Hi, I'm looking for an original 1960 2 barrel to fit back on my Lincoln. It now has a 4 barrel, and is not correct for the 1960 model year. Does anyone have a correct intake and willing to sell? Thanks, Ferdy Comb through these classifieds. I had several I posted here for a few years. I scrapped th...

FEU-12127-N Dual Point For MEL

Since I didn't find any information on it I figured it was a legitimate MEL distributor. Correct me if I am wrong. Here is the current EBay link as of August 10, 2019 along with the pictures. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-MEL-462-430-410-383-DUAL-POINT-DISTRIBUTOR-LINCOLN-MERCURY-THUNDERBIRD-2X4-/22...

Re: Multi Carb manifolds

Here's some pics of some of the aftermarket speed equipment that was originally available for the MEL. These come from the 1960 Almquist speed equipment catalog I just got. The catalog is 115 pages and these are all I could find !! Also note that the 8x2 Weiand Drag Star log intake is only offered ...

Re: 1965 Lincoln 430 MEL To 1965 F-250

Dropped the Lincoln 430 in place of the Ford 352 FE. At this point it is a bolt up using factory parts. The 63/64 engine mounts made the MEL look like a factory install. The mounts were RockAuto clearance items. I had to set the mount to the engine with the passenger engine perch loose after the eng...

1965 Lincoln 430 MEL To 1965 F-250

Finally starting to piece this thing together a little at a time. Cranked and ran the 430 about 2 minutes at a time. No signs of it hammering the best I could hear over the open exhaust. 20190729_221155.jpg Swapped in the 63/64 Galaxie FE engine mounts and broke the Cruise-O-Matic loose. 20190803_08...

Re: 383 Mercury crankshaft ID

I spoke with a machinist who said that EDF was what he recorded from a recent 383 build.
