What is a forum?
A forum (a.k.a. message board) is a place where you and your site visitors can view and post messages for each other. A forum typically has an index page (a list where message titles are displayed), a message page (where individual messages can be read), and a post form (where someone can enter their message).

How do I integrate a forum into my web site?
Every forum at Network54 has its own unique URL. When you create your forum, all you have to do is add a link from your web site to your own forum at Network54. A link can also be added to your forum which will then go back to your web site.
You can completely customize your own forums at Network54, by changing the colors and fonts, adding your own graphics, even changing the layout to the style that best matches your site.
How do custom headers and footers work?
Your forum header and footer are advanced options that aren't necessary for the operation of the forum, but they do let you place your own HTML at the very beginning and very end of your forum pages. Using the header and footer, you can encapsulate a forum within a table, add music, or add your own toolbar. Just place whatever HTML codes you need to get the desired effect, but make sure to use the footer to close whatever HTML tags you used in the header.

How many messages can I have in the forum?
Network54 allows you to have unlimited messages in your forum. Some of our largest forums have over half a million messages!
Can I make my forum private (password protected)?
Yes. Network54 lets you create your own access control lists (groups) that you can set privileges for in each forum. For each group of users you can specify different access privileges. For more information, you can see our help document on Network54 Groups and Access Control.
