What's best, aluminum or stainless steel for a custom tank (and why) September 6 2005 at 12:57 PM		Rob Williams (no login)


I've been looking at the West Marine custom fab shop, and wondering what would be the best material for a new custom tank installation. I can get considerably more fuel into a custom shape and also potentially increase the reliability of the boat by getting all the gunk out of the 38-year old galvanized steel tanks. http://www.westfabrication.com/fuel_tanks.shtml Anyone done this?
