I was kicking around the idea of a non intercooled pro-charger F1 in the 67 Mustang Coupe. What will really be involved with cutting the shock towers, moving the rad 2 inches forward, ect? Is there a lot of fab work required?

-want to look here:

-don't think a shock tower mod. is needed. Heck, all the hardware is at the front of the engine and shouldn't require a wider engine compartment.

-have seen FE's and Windsors in early 'Stangs that retained the front radiator frame but admittedly it was a tight fit, some had aftermarket cross-flow (i.e. non-Ford) radiators, elec. pusher fans were used, etc.

The shock towers are not an issue. You will, however, have to fab up the blower bracket {which I have already done}, and cut the driverside inner fender. Im also running a cogged belt setup for the F1R and didnt go with a factory size radiator which was good since there would be no room for the bottom blower pulley. Also, to give the blower bracket more support I made blower bracket to head as a spacer for the Meziere electric water pump and used the rest of the bracket/spacer to mount the blower bracket to the head {Dove tunnelport heads with only two threaded holes}.
The electric waterpump helped since there is no wp belt to worry with, just my alternator.......Pics soon.
