redlights a lot?? Not that such a term would apply to me!!
Cool video though. Too bad the quality wasn't better. I find Streefire has better playback than Youtube. Keep 'em coming, it's going to be a long winter...
if the weathers good I'd guess the cool temps would make for some good runs. I'll be OTR. I'll see you guy's next year I suppose. Any races in the Houston area?
Thanks, I am not sure what to do this winter, next season will be number 4 for this combo, the only thing I have ever done id oil change, and adjust valves once. Seems to be running well. What else can I do, to go faster?
Throw that power rob'n slush-a-matic in the can and put a stick in it. Bet it's worth 2 tenths!
Still got that saws-all in the toolbox LOL!!
It's my two year time out for motor. I pull it down and check it out. Need to do some freshen up in tranny too. Been 4? years since I replaced anything and pretty sure some gears need new teeth.

Larry, unless he has a $$$ trick of the week, ultra light C4, I`d bet he would pickup more than that. The C6 I used to run in my Fairmont was only "semi-trick", (Motorsport needle bearing, low drag low gear setup, 8" convertor and trans brake), and replacing the auto with the Jerico 4 speed knocked 1/2 second off my ET, and gained 6 mph. Knocked over a tenth of the 60 foots too, and a WHOLE lot more fun!! By the way, the used Jerico has been in use for 8 years now, as has the driveshaft and ring and pinion, so much for stick cars blowing up stuff all the time, eh?

on the very conservative side. It all depends on how well the auto/convertor worked. If it slipped alot, then a stick will really show improvement. If it was a tighter, well worked unit, then likely just a couple tenths.
I've run the same rearend since '97. The ol Nash has been pretty reliable with only a few big bangs(usually due to something else), as noted I've not rebuilt any of it in 4+ yrs. It's starting to get twitchy in a couple gears so I know it's needing some new gears/sliders. If I could face plate it I'm sure it would last even longer.
Clutch technology has come so far in the lasts 10 yrs it's really put a hurt on the old "sticks breaks parts" comment. That usually comes from someone that had a really bad set up and didn't know better.
I'm really curious to the wear on my new set up this year. I put a solid hub sintered iron and 600# plate. Couple months back I seem to remember only .002 wear on the disc!! It's still a bit tight and will be getting it set for next lower base(360#) for next year. It's still hitting the tires way too hard as all my pictures have 5 inches of air under the front tires and smoke from the rear tires!! Doh!
I finished 6th in point this year in the UMTR group. Was 8th last year, with a Championship the previous year. Sure is FUN!!
