Response to O/T pit crew

That is Jack helping out long time friend Don Bowles of Madisonville, KY. The track is Windy Hollow Raceway, located South of Owensboro, KY. Don's Mustang was very competitive in NHRA S/S. If it wasn't at Don's shop being "tweaked", the car or the engines were at Jack's! These two have a relationship that is near unbelievable. After Don sold the Mustang to Harold Stout, he begin campaigning his famous Ford Fairmont in NHRA Competition Eliminator. With Jack's support and Don's talent the Fairmont was just as successful. Jack and Don continue their efforts in a modern fashion, hence the Roush/Bowles versions of the "Coal Digger" cars that compete in NMCA and similar events.

Don is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Red, although the fender decals may have been changed, I believe the car was an original Boss 351 or used that variety of the 351 engine. The hood has the Boss paint, although about any area could have been changed, I really believe it's an original Boss, if my memory serves me correctly.

Dave.
