Response to many of those 64 390 blocks

One of the few things I know is to not use "never" or "always" when either talking to a woman, or about Ford stuff LOL. Worshiping part #'s and casting #'s, and playing the old my documentation can beat up your documentation game is great fun for some, but some ringers always seem to show up. Having spent a lot of time with an old guy who was an "insider" at L-M, and seeing some of the "non-existant" stuff he used to bring home from the Richmond center on the weekend, naaah.. Running around with Cantrell and those guys in the late 70's and the 80's, they were heavy into Cobras, GT40's and such, was lucky enough to put my grubby little hands on stuff like the old Ford Indy engine, had some Gurney-Weslake stuff for a while (part of a huge stash that came from Marvin Webster's Indy program) and the truckload of stuff those guys bought from H-M's big sale, (used to have a pic of myself picking up a flyweight 494 CanAm alloy block with one arm LOL), stuff they got from Mickey Thompson, etc., I don't buy the never and always thing. '67 experimental CanAm 351 block? Over there, in the corner by the Indy engine, almost bought that one myself, for my Gurney Weslake. Actually Cantrell had a x-bolted 406 block for a while, got rid of it about six months before I found my 406 car in '77, or I'd have it today- was a cherry block at standard bore, and yes, he sold it to a guy who was racing a 428

I've always heard, from way back, "knorbs" referring to the valve float protrusions on the top of low-riser flattops
