Response to To FE or not to FE, that is the question.

289 to fe....the engine stands are different, the radiator is different..radiator is bigger..requires cutting core support opening larger..uses different radiator mounts..bigger rad means repositioning battery, from core support to fender..c4 to c6..different crossmember, different accelerator pedal assembly..different drive shaft. fuel line is smaller and sending unit also. xl? do you have c6 floor shift lever? of course you can forget your existing exhaust ahead of mufflers. you may get away with smallblock springs if engine light enough{aluminum}. brakes on 390 cars was bigger..if you have power brakes you mave have to change booster for valve cover clearance, which is tight with stock cover height. 351w will drop in with only y pipe mod if you have one. you can buy stroker kits for 351w also >427. aluminum headed 351 same weight as stock 289. what do you want, that is question. 289 can be built very nicely also.
