Response to Unions and pensions do kill companies

Unions did build our middle class and lifestyle at one point.If you were going out to buy a product and your only three choices were our union made products, that would be fine. When you open the market to manufacturers that pay third wourld wages, an american company can't compete and it is even worse if it is a union american company. If obama lets unions get stronger before doing something about competition from third wourld contries, you will see our industrial base dsappear even faster. A strong industrial base that pays a good middle class wage to it's employees is vital to our country maintaining its lifestyle. We need to stop our industrial base from leaving and we need to stop it fast. I think that as long as we have free trade with third wourld countries, our industrial base will decline. When Henry Ford started, he paid a unpresidented wage. He said he wanted his workers to be able to buy the products that they buildt. Now Ford has to figure how to compete against manufactures that pay third wourld wages and have no employee benefits or safety.`
