I would wait on one of the guys like Barry R. to weigh in on this one to see if it is an issue with the FE, but the reasoning is the higher tourque specs of the main studs distort the main caps, just as we hone with tourque plates to simulate bore distortion from having the heads tourqued in place. Even the new H-beam rods are supposed to be resized on the big end if you put the better ARP rod bolts in them.
