Response to Does having an original California Black Plate add to the value of the restoration? |
| My 62 tbird has the original black plates and was purchased and lived in LA all of its life until I moved it to tucson, az four years ago. I keep it registered in CA because I like the blackplates. I also have a 66 tbird that was sold and lived in LA all of its life. It is currently in a garage in CA, but I plan on moving it to tucson next year. It has a blue&gold plate because the 2nd owner didn't want the blackplates. I would love to find a proper year specific plate to put on this car. I don't know what the original plate number was, is there any way to find out? Also where can one go to find oldplates and how do you find out what plate numbers were used in 66?
Thanks
