they came that way and they were purchased 9 years ago. Also the Crane pushrods are very large on the cup end, I have a set from .... 9 years ago and about 4 years ago bought a pair for spares, those cups were even larger.....
If you read the instructions with the rockers it specifially mentions you need to check clearance there as most pushrods cups are different between manufacturers, some clearancing MAY be required. Basic engine building..... check everything... don't be a bolt-on Barney.
