Barry,
Good memories. Rick Dyers Car was running 9 flat back then. That car and the other C.A.R.s race team Camaro were back halved big block deep in the 500 cube range with a dual shot of spray and a single dominator. Neither C.A.R.s car was supercharged or injected, but Ricks car was a yellow 1969 RS version of a fake Yenko and the chasis was very similar to Jamies car. Danny Scott was running 8.60s in his aqua 68 Camaro with 540 cubes and a double shot of spray. Rod Sabourey was a heavy hitter with his 57 vette at the time. Jamie lives in Columbus and there is an industrial complex off of the Roberts Road exit on the 270 outerbelt with 1 mile of flat concrete that we used to race on back then. There was a trailered chevy II with big engine and dual spray that had clocked in the 8.teens at National Trails that used to trailer in at the time. Most of the races at this level were against drag bikes and giving them alot of car lengths and possibly the go at the time.
