Fair wenough, but is your pressure plate drilled for the 3/8" bolts? The McLeod "Soft Lok" for my Fairmont uses 3/8" studs in the flywheel with larger holes in the pressure plate, but the "Soft Lok" im my 85 Mustang Stocker uses the 5/16" bolts, and it doesn`t appear to have enough material around the bolt holes to drill that pressure plate to 3/8". Although the 5/16" bolts look scary small, I gotta admit I have never had a problem with them in many cars over the years.
