Have you heard anything of Motorkote? I have heard that this may be the only stuff out there that works? I was thinking about trying it and was wandering if anyone knew anything bad or good about it.
thanks
Matt

john the problem with teflon is that in order for teflon to bond to a metal it has to reach 800 degrees!
being this the teflon doesnt bond to your engine and will just clog your filter. if you research on it the company dupont who is the inventor of teflon is against running it in an engine and claims that there would be no benefit! they will not allow companys to use their name on any product! must be really good stuff!!!!!

I am running Motorkote 100 in 2 vehicles and have seen a huge difference in power and fuel economy I have a 1988 GMC JIMMY full size 4x4 with a 350 4brl before motorkote i was getting 12.4 miles to the gallon since i started using motorkote I am getting 14.7 which is a huge savings in my fuel costs and more power then it ever had. i put it in 14000 miles ago and i am still getting same results even after 3 oil changes and not having to replace it! it is supposidly good for up to 50,000 miles but with the amount i am saving im going to re add it every 25000.
I am also running it in a 2002 chev silverado ext cab fullsize w/350 and getting 28.8 miles to the gallon....im not sure what i was getting prior but chev rates it for around 21 miles to the gallon. I treated the entire trucks (crankcase, transmission, front and rear diff, transfercase) all from the same bottle! and for half the price of durajunk and procrap. unlike the other additives motorkote is a pure synthetic concentrate which has no ptfes no graphite no molybendium, zinc,or silicone which are all detrimental to your engine. I also use Motorkote in my lawnmower,snowblower,4 wheeler, and air compressor....the stuff is great and is well worth trying! The fuel treatment is amazing too.

Mr. A,
Motorkote 100 sounds too good. I owned a 87 fullsize Jimmy with a 350, and all 87-94 350s in GM half-ton trucks came with throttle body injection. You sure yours is carbed? And mine got about 16 mpg average. So your mileage claim seems reasonable. Also, I currently own a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 ext cab 4x4, and I know they do not have 350s...it's either a 4.8 or 5.3 liter. So, care to comment on those 2 obvious misprints on your part? Any others?
And, this Motorkote must be some good stuff to get you 28.8 in that truck...from 21 to 28.8 mpg is a cool 37 % increase!! Does it somehow reduce your air drag? It just seems too good. I will do some research. If this Motorkote 100 is this good, I'll buy stock in it's parent company, then sing it's praises to everyone I can. And retire a very rich man....Oh, please, let it be so!
Can someone else who's not "anonymous" help us out with some personal insight with Motorkote 100?

first sorry about the misprint my chev has a 305 and yes my Jimmy is carbed would you care to come see or maybe I can drive it to you to see?
2nd I am not sure what the silverado got for mileage to begin with I just know what I am getting now!
thirdly I dont sell this stuff nor do I even know where I can buy it. My Father in-law picked some up to try in his transport and liked his results so he picked some up for me to try in my trucks I have not tried anything else in these trucks and was pretty impressed with the results and thought I would share them and see if anyone else had tried the stuff? did not set out to be made out to look like a liar!!

Sorry about ruffling the feathers, there...I did a little research on this Motorkote 100, which of course is similar to all "actual results" that you can find about on anything on the internet, and I've decided if this stuff is half as good as it claims, then it will be 10 times better than anything I've ever tried, including zMAX. I'm trying to obtain some. For anyone interested, just use google and search 'Moterkote' and you'll see what I am referring to. A-man, I own a 2002 Chevy Silverado, 5.3 l, 4x4, ext cab, 1500 series, 3.73 rear axle...sounds exactly like what you drive (I guess you can't be all bad, being a Chevy guy). I'm currently averaging (highway/city/towing a little) 16.6 mpg. You're getting 28.8?!?!? Man, I hope I can get above 20. I'd be thrilled! Let me know of any recent results, and please confirm that this is what you drive and mpg update. It just seems too good! And, where do you get this stuff? I can't find it.

After thinking about the mileage i am getting compared to yours I think I know why there is such a big difference... I am calculating my mileage to a Canadian gallon which is more then a US gallon...and if my math is correct i think your 16 mpg US is close to 21 mpg Canadian. As far as where to get it.. I have no idea but am looking I will let you know if i find it.

Based on what your last message said, 28.8 mpg (Canada) is right at about 22 mpg (USA). If I could get 22 mpg in this truck, I'd be tickled and I'd tell everyone to get some Motorkote. Now if I can just get some.

Man, I never would of thought it'd been this hard to buy black market weapons, as it was to finally get some Motorkote ordered! It's in the mail...updates to come. I think I can clearly see one thing wrong with Motorkote's product...it's way to hard to obtain. If this is as good as they say (or even half), then I'll buy enough and sell it to all who want some. Check back here later, guys.

I called Dave Percells cell phone. Prior to that I had e-mailed him and actually got a response, but did not place an order that way. The phone numbers are:
Cell- 517-881-2181....Home-517-543-3552...Another(?)-517-543-1538. I finally got through to talk with Dave in person. He is very busy. The guy may be a PhD in something, but it isn't in marketing. Anyhow, if this stuff is as good as I've heard, or even half, and if we all use it, you'd better be selling your oil stocks.

Motorkote 100 In The Truck!

January 5 2003, 4:18 PM
I put 10 oz of the MK 100 in the crankcase, along with 5.5 qts of Mobil 1 10W-30 today while performing a regularly scheduled oil change at the 18000 mile mark. I also put 4 oz in the transfer case...this was a messy job...I had to drain 4 oz of fluid out to make room for the 4 oz of MK 100. I decided against using it in the rear differential...it's already got synthetic installed from the factory, and, it's a limited slip unit...I don't want to make it into a unlimited slip by accident. I also didn't put any in the transmission...I'd have to drain a little out to make room. No thanks. I didn't put any in the front diff...I don't use it enough to justify. And, I added about 6 oz of the MK 100 fuel treatment to the gas tank. We will now see if a truck averaging about 16.5 mpg can surpass the 20 mpg mark. I doubt it very much, but if some of what Mr. Anonymous says is true, it could happen. Stay tuned.
Ivan, you got any results, yet?

I put 8 oz into my engine. I can not feel any changes. May be a 1.0 mpg improvement, and that is questionable. I am not saying that Motorkote does not work, I am just saying that it did not do much for my car (BMW 850 V12). Who knows, may be a I need to put more that 8 oz...

1 Tank Into the Test For Motorkote
No score for this post
January 11 2003, 2:20 PM
Well, with 1 tank in the books, I got maybe a fraction of a mpg better than usual, but, I think it's wise to look at this product over at least 3-4 tanks. It's just not enough data to make a call, yet. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that my truck did not even approach the 20 mpg mark that Mr. Anonymous indicated he's had no problem achieving with the same exact vehicle. I'm beginning to wonder about old Mr. A...one of his posts sounded alot like a commercial for MK 100. Hmmm. I wonder if he'd trade me trucks for a month?

I've put several hundred miles on the 02 Silverado with the MK 100 in the crankcase and the transfer case. Good news is nothing's broken down. Bad news is that the gas mileage is no different than previously. Bottom line is the stuff doesn't seem to do a thing...just like the Duralube, Slick 50, Prolube, etc. Save your money, folks, my personal experience is DO NOT BUY MOTORKOTE 100, IT DOES NOTHING AT ALL. I also tried the MK gas treatment, and guess what? Yep, nothing. I looked at Mr. Anonymous posts and he seemed to be doing quite a sell job. Hell, one of his posts seem to read just like an advertisement. So, Mr. A, care to comment. Until we hear back from the super-sneaky Mr. A, I'll state simply that he is full of crap, and likely has some interest in selling MK 100. Ivan, you got any new results?
It looks as though zMAX remains the one, and only, product I've ever personally used (yes, me, in my own vehicles, for all you know-it-alls out there who have never tried it) that has made any measurable improvement at all in gas mileage.

It appears that the hundreds of testimonials and the dozens of Dyno test that were performed on various vehicles showing quite impressive results are all myths. JEGS dyno test results on MOTORKOTE must have been a mirage or maybe they should get out of racing because they really do not know what they are doing. You should really lear how to test and research a product before you make any claims toward a product. If you check thety web site regarding Z-Max you will find that the FTC claims in their law suit against Z-Max that it is only tinted mineral oil.
Well, so mujch for your credibility.

I don't know anything about Jeg's dyno test on the Motorkote...maybe you can fill us in? I do know this: A guy said it was some kind of stuff. His claims read like the back of the bottle and spoke of great things if I put it in my vehicle. I tried it. Guess what? No improvement of any kind here. I'm not trying to sell the crud or trying to put Motorkote out of business, I'm simply sharing my personal results...no referring to a alleged dyno test by a 3rd party, or talking about a now well-known lawsuit. Have you read any of the posts in this site? Have you even tried either zMAX or Motorkote? I have.

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am with 42k mileage. I tried the motorkote product in my engine only. My daughter and I drove to the lake and put 268 miles roundtrip. Thinking it might have helped, I checked the gas mileage.
My best ever highway mileage test was 27.6 mpg. With motorkote in my engine I got 30.1 mpg and yes, I checked my numbers twice. Noone ever said i would be guaranteed better mileage, but did say that it was a possibility.
I do know this however. I have never felt the pep, the quietness, and the quickness my engine now has. So whatever is in motorkote must do something. Even if I never see another increase in fuel consumption I will be satistied knowing that my engine likes it. And for the price of the product, I am totally satisfied.
So, Mr Washout......Check again and at least listen and feel what your engine is telling you. I dont know you so I will take what you said to be true. But I can assure you it is working for me !

I'm glad you found something you think might work for you. It did zilch for me and another guy who posted results named Ivan. And no, we do not know each other and are not conspiring against MotorKote. Read the whole section on this subject, and you'll see why I was so hot on getting some MK 100 and giving it a shot. The claims made were so good, in retrospect, they had to be ridiculous, but hey, it's just money and maybe it's half as good as it sounds, which would of been great. I'm not looking for a quieter, more peppy engine...it's got plenty of that with just Mobil 1 in the crankcase. I'm looking for MILES PER GALLON, without destroying my engine in the process. That's what the sales BS said, and that's what I wanted. Simple enough, huh? Didn't happen. Bummer. By the way, my wife drives a 99 Gran Prix GTP and it'll get 30-31 mpg at 65-70 mph on the highway anyday. It's a bigger car, has higher mileage (75K), and a bigger supercharged engine. I'd say your Grand Am ought to be getting 30-32 on the highway every time. I wonder if the MK really helped, or the driver made a difference.

Well yea that is good !! What the hell is so bad about an increase in mileage ? And by the way,we went back to the cottage again this weekend. Checked the mpg again and Im at 30.9. And the driver? Too funny. I want to say it was my 12 year old daughter, but Ill refrain. Im the only driver of the vehicle, its in great shape, and I have the same lead foot Ive always had.
And no......I dont work for motorkote or know anyone at the company. I was told about the product from a guy that got it at a show somewhere. Like me, he also achieved an increase in mpg.
So say what youd like about your experience and Ill tell a thousand people about mine. Im a salesperson for a telecommunication co, I travel in this car for my business, and might just see if Motorkote is hiring.
Best wishes with whatever competeing product you sell......I choose motorkote.

I do not sell MotorKote, zMAX, or any other product...I just try them. And, I'm glad there may be something out there that may work, at least in some applications. Maybe I got a bad batch, or something. You got about a 10% increase in MPG...and that's significant. I had a heck of a time actually obtaining the stuff. How and where did you get it, and, how much did it cost you? Maybe I'll give it another shot, if I don't have to jump through the hoops I had to previously. Has anyone else out there tried this MotorKote and gotten any results, good, bad, or something in between? Paul, Ivan, and I can't be the only customers they've ever had. If so, please share with us.

If you were responding to something I said (you weren't exactly clear), please try reading more on this forum, you'd see my results for zMAX. And as far as "substantiating my claim", I don't know any other way to do so in this type of format, other than what I've already done...simply truthfully report my personal results, on my vehicles, with me driving. It's not really rocket science. And I'm not telling anyone to go get some zMAX...it's expensive, and for the benefit it gives, I can't say if it's worth the cost. But, I can say that in my own personal experience, it's the only stuff that helps gas mileage in any measurable amount...and that includes MotorKote 100. So, if something works out there, please share the good news with me, because I want to try it. Heck, I've tried about all of the rest...it only seems fair.
