The problem is, you refuse to admit that you made a mistake, yet you came here for help. If there was a server problem today, it certainly would have afftected more than just your forum. The fact that you admit that it happened only after you edited means it was something you did. You "wasted an entire afternoon" fixing something you screwed up.
