Response to 427 exhaust port photos
Hi folks,
As I prepare to start to remove my heads for a suspected exhaust valve issue, I have a question with respect to the exhaust crossover "hot spot".
I don't want this feature. My intake manifold "hot spots" are discoloring the paint and I agree with previous posts that cooler fuel = better performance. Has anyone plugged these ports in the intake manifold? If so welded? Marine tex? thoughts? Are ther special intake gaskets that do not have the cutout for that port?
